‘Lemon Meow Pie’ Art Print by Vertigo Artography
A small, perfectly round white Persian cat sits on a slice of lemon meringue pie. The filling is a deep golden amber. The pastry crust is crimped and correct. Two whole lemons rest behind the plate on a dark teal background, as if this were a perfectly normal food photograph from 1974, which it almost is. Where the meringue should be, white, soft, peaked, there is instead a cat. A white, soft, round cat. The substitution is seamless. The cat is looking directly at you. It has nothing to explain.
